Union Bay Ponders Time Change

Just finished talking to one of my neighbours, she asked if I would sign a petition.

In June and July of 2019, the provincial government of British Columbia launched a poll if British Columbians would prefer year-round Daylight-Saving Time or changing their clocks bi-annually. However, there was no option to answer Permanent Pacific Standard Time.

The petition is to help convince the NDP government to “Let us keep Pacific Standard Time in BC—all year!” http://chng.it/Cs4PVpjY2m

I decided to get some pro and con opinions.

WATCH (March 9, 2019): The pros and cons of daylight saving time

WATCH: Huge majority of British Columbians want Daylight Saving Time permanent video does have a commersial…. https://globalnews.ca/video/rd/f2bfc7c5-d364-11e9-b75a-0242ac110002/?jwsource=cl

Most areas of B.C. currently “spring forward” into Daylight Saving Time during summer months and “fall back” to Standard Time in the winter. … B.C. continues the practice of changing our clocks bi-annually; or. B.C. adopts year-round observance of Daylight Saving Time.

Daylight saving time 2020 in Canada will SPRING forward at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday March 8 and FALL BACK at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday November 1 ….All times are in Pacific Time.

How Canadian time zones will work if B.C. stops changing clocks twice a year

If British Columbia permanently adapts Daylight Saving Time, the province will essentially change time zones from Pacific Standard Time to Mountain Standard Time.

Decisions, decisions such a conundrum…..
